How to obtain a library account
You get a library account when you activate your student portal login, register to a course and approve of the library lending rules. If you missed to do this you can apply for a library account
Searching and lending
Of the Mid Sweden compulsory course literature, we buy three to four copies. The lending period for course literature is 10 days. Non-course literature are 30 day loans.
To search for course books and other literature use the Library's search engine Primo. In Primo you will also find e-books, articles, journals etc. How to use Primo:
You borrow books by using our lending machines. Log in with your student portal login and password.
If the book you are looking for is not on the shelf you can make a reservation in Primo. In My account you can see your reservations and your contact information. We send messages via email so be sure to contact us if we do not have your correct email address. Lending rules.
If you are a distance student and live outside of one of our two campuses, you can get books sent to your adress. Read more about our library distance service
Books and magazines online
To read the library's e-books and e-journals on your own computer, use your student portal login. Follow the links from Primo or Databases AZ and log in.
Book a study group room at the Student Portal.
You are welcome to sit and study at the library, alone or in groups. If you work with others, there are study group rooms and study group workplaces. In Sundsvall we have the Learning Space on the 4th floor available 24 hours a day with the MIUN card.
A student mentor can help you with your studies. We have student mentors on both campuses.
